October 201612 October 2016 Well October is well underway and visiting with family and friends has made the time disappear in a blur. We've done some maintenance on the ute and 5er, found and fixed a small water leak and added some small items to improve the rig. Work is a few weeks away yet as the crops start to turn and dry out so once we have a couple of small projects finished we might even get the chance to take a short trip before we begin the grain harvest. 29 October 2016 And October is almost finished, where does the time go? We are now at Bruce Rock, parked up in the accommodation at the CBH Bin ready for this years grain harvest to start. Opening day is Monday so if the weather holds the farmers will slowly begin to bring their harvest in. The Site Manager will start off doing everything, working as the sampler, weighbridge officer and receival point operator and then as the number of loads increase we will start at the receival points to take some pressure off of him and before we know there will be a sample hut crew and weighbridge officer in place, and things will well and truly be in full swing.
Mark Twain once said "...years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do that by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - and so we will. |
